So far CHILDLINE service has been set up and running in 5 districts of Bihar viz  Patna (July 1999), Sitamarhi (June 2006), Darbhanga (January 2007), Kishanganj (January 2008) & Purnea (May 2008)

In Patna CHILDLINE has been functioning since 1999 through the organization Balsakha in Jamal road. Through the initiation of CIF (CHILDLINE India Foundation), responding to the need of the area Tripolia Social Service Hospital has started CHILDLINE as the 2nd collaborative organization on 16th October 2006 and Nari Gunjan has been working as a Support organization of CHILDLINE Patna since 1st December 2006.

East & West Educational Society, the Nodal agency in Bihar

East & West Educational Society has been working as a Nodal Agency of Patna CHILDLINE.
Its tasks are mainly Coordination, Follow-Up, Training, Networking with Resource Organization, Communication, and Administration of CHILDLINE.

East & West Educational Society is the Nodal Agency of CHILDLINE for not only Patna but also for Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Kishangunj & Purnea. .

At present in Bihar CHILDLINE operates in these five districts only and plans to extend its activities to cover more districts by and by.
