Promoted initially by Prayas JAC Delhi and East & West Educational Society, Patna Bihar Voluntary Coordinating Agency (BVCA) was registered as a Society in 1998 to work for promoting legal adoptions in the state of Bihar.
BVCA was granted recognition by Central Adoption Resource Agency (CARA) in 2000 as Adoption Coordinating Agency (ACA) (which was earlier described as VCA) for the state of Bihar.
According to 1985 order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court to streamline the process of adoption and to encourage Indian adoption at the central and state levels appropriate agencies are to be formed. While CARA is the central agency created for the purpose which is controlled and supported as an autonomous agency by the Ministry of Women & Child, Government of India, ACA is the state level coordinating organization
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- To rehabilitate more & more destitute / orphan children in family.
- To encourage society for adoption of destitute & orphan children.
- To help locate female/male child for interested eligible adoptive parents.
